Spicy Tuna and Avocado Cucumber Sushi Bites


· 1/2 pound ahi tuna (sushi-grade), finely diced

· 1 tablespoon soy sauce

· 1 teaspoon sriracha (or to taste)

· 2 teaspoons mirin (optional)

· 2 tablespoons green onions, finely sliced

· 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

· 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds, toasted (optional)

· 1 cucumber, sliced thinly

· 1 avocado, thinly sliced


1. Toss the tuna with the mixture of the soy sauce, sriracha, mirin, green onions, sesame oil and sesame seeds and place on the cumber slices and avocado and enjoy!

Option: Add a touch of wasabi!
Option: Add 1 tablespoon mayonnaise.
Option: Add 2 tablespoons finely chopped macadamia nuts. (This is amazing!)
Option: Drizzle on teriyaki sauce.
Option: Sprinkle on panko bread drums for crunch.
Option: Sprinkle on shichimi togarashi (Japanese chili pepper mix).
Option: Sprinkle on crumbled toasted seaweed. (The sheets that sushi rolls are rolled with.)
